Sybil Schantz

Sybil Schantz is an experienced Human Resources professional with extensive expertise in supporting large employee bases across various industries. At Universal Music Group since February 2006, Sybil serves as Director of Human Resources, overseeing total HR support for over 400 employees in the Finance and Digital groups. Previously, Sybil held the position of Director at Paramount Pictures from 2001 to 2005, providing HR support to more than 600 employees in several departments including Home Entertainment and Information Technology. The career began at Sony Computer Entertainment America from 1994 to 1996, where Sybil created the HR function for its newly formed video game division through the launch of the Playstation, with additional consulting for Sony Pictures from 2001 to 2002. The early career included a role as Manager of Human Resources at Mattel Toys from 1981 to 1992. Sybil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology from SUNY New Paltz.
