Mohamed Baqer is the Dean of the College of Applied Studies and Acting Vice President for Information Technology Services, Administrative and Financial Affairs at the University of Bahrain since February 2019, with an ongoing role as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering since November 2008. Previously, Mohamed Baqer served in various leadership roles at the Education and Training Quality Authority, including Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center and Senior Director of the National Qualifications Framework. Additionally, experience includes working as a Teaching Assistant at Monash University from March 2003 to August 2008, specializing in network security and data communication. Educational qualifications encompass a PhD in Information Technology and a Master's degree in Network Computing from Monash University, along with a Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice from York St. John University, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
