Bjorn Ottersten is a distinguished academic and researcher with extensive experience in the field of electrical engineering and communications. Currently serving on the ERC Scientific Council since January 2023, Bjorn also holds board membership positions with EURASIP and the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research. As a professor at both the University of Luxembourg and KTH, The Royal Institute of Technology, since 2009 and December 1991 respectively, Bjorn has significantly contributed to academia. Previously, Bjorn was the founding director at SnT, Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust until January 2023, and served on the Technical and Natural Sciences Board of the VELUX Foundations from 2016 to 2022. Additionally, Bjorn held editorial responsibilities as Editor in Chief of SIGNAL PROCESSING until December 2017 and directed research at ArrayComm Inc. from 1996 to 1997. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Master of Science from Linköping University.
