Jennifer Haygood

Jennifer Haygood is currently the SVP, Finance & CFO at University of North Carolina. Prior to UNC, they served as the Executive Vice President/Chief of Staff at NC Community College System from September 2008 to August 2020. Haygood began their professional career as a Fiscal Analyst at the North Carolina General Assembly from March 2003 to September 2008. Jennifer then worked as a Public Management Fellow at NC Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention from July 2001 to March 2003. Haygood began their career in education as a Teacher (Teach for America Corps Member) at Orleans Parish School Board from August 1997 to June 1999.

Jennifer Haygood's educational career began at Judson High School. Jennifer then went on to study at Rice University, where they earned their BA. Finally, they attended Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy, where they earned their Master of Public Policy.

They are on a team with Michael Vollmer - COO, Andrea Poole - Executive Director, North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority, and Kimberly van Noort - SVP, Academic Affairs & Chief Academic Officer. Their manager is Peter Hans, President.
