Mariana Ziku is a co-founder and programme curator at the Biennale of Western Balkans since March 2017, actively contributing to cultural initiatives in the region. Currently serving as a research associate at the University of the Aegean and at Web2Learn, alongside previous roles that include postgraduate research intern at KU Leuven Bibliotheken and curatorial assistant at the Municipal Art Gallery of Ioannina and transmediale. Mariana Ziku holds a PhD candidacy in Cultural Informatics from the University of the Aegean and has acquired advanced degrees in Digital Humanities from KU Leuven, Cultural Management from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, and two degrees from the University of Ioannina in Art History-Theory and Curating and Fine Arts and Art Sciences. Additionally, Mariana Ziku possesses degrees in Classical Piano and Classical Theory and Harmony from the Municipal Conservatory of Ioannina, Greece.
