Steve Schutzer

Steve Schutzer, MD, is a distinguished medical professional with extensive experience in orthopedic surgery and healthcare leadership. As Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Upswing Health since September 2017, Schutzer has played a pivotal role in advancing healthcare initiatives. Additionally, since April 2017, Schutzer has served as Co-Founder and Board member of The Moving To Value Alliance, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to improving value-based care in healthcare. Schutzer's previous roles include Physician Executive overseeing the Orthopedic Service Line at Trinity Health Of New England from March 2017 to December 2022, and Medical Director at the Connecticut Joint Replacement Institute from August 2007 to May 2021. With a background as President of Connecticut Joint Replacement Surgeons, LLC, and an orthopedic surgeon at Orthopedic Associates of Hartford from July 1986 to April 2021, Schutzer has demonstrated a commitment to high-quality joint replacement surgery and healthcare management.
