Charlie Freund has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. From 2021, they have been working as the Partnership Growth Director, Academics at US Sports Camps, where their responsibilities include building STEAM+ opportunities for youth in collaboration with educators, universities, and families. Prior to this, from 2020 to 2021, Charlie worked as a LinkedIn Learning Reviewer at LinkedIn, where they reviewed and assessed learning outlines and generated test validation questions.
Before their time at LinkedIn, Charlie worked at iD Tech Camps for several years. From 2014 to 2020, they served as the Territory Director, focusing on business growth and marketing analytics. Charlie also supervised Regional Managers and directed their hiring and project management. Prior to this role, from 2009 to 2014, Charlie was a Regional Manager at iD Tech Camps, where they recruited and hired tech gurus and built relationships with campuses to expand program offerings.
Charlie's earlier experience includes working as an Outdoor Education Center Program Leader at Houston ISD from 2004 to 2008 and as an Outdoor Educator at McHenry County Conservation District from 1999 to 2003.
Charlie Freund attended Michigan State University from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Studies & Zoology. In 2001, they also briefly studied Environmental Science at Wageningen University & Research.
