Tarkko Lehtinen

Tarkko Lehtinen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operations and project management within the paper and board industry. Currently serving as Director of Operations at Valmet since February 2012, Tarkko leads various functions including project management, engineering, logistics, and quality control, while also having been responsible for quality and operational excellence until August 2023. Previously, Tarkko held multiple leadership positions at Valmet, including Director of Projects and Engineering and Director of Site Operations, focusing on global project management and site operations. Prior experience includes roles at Metso Paper as General Manager and Site Manager, as well as positions at UPM-Kymmene, where Tarkko gained comprehensive knowledge in maintenance planning and supervision. Tarkko holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Papermachine Technology from Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, completed in 2001.
