Pamela Duchars

Pamela Duchars has a diverse background in the biotechnology industry with extensive experience in business development, project leadership, and government relations. Pamela is currently serving as the Director of Business Development and Licensing at Valneva since 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Director of Project Leadership and Strategy at Evox Therapeutics Ltd from 2021 to 2022. Pamela also worked as a Director at Genie BioLogic Limited from 2020 to 2022, where they provided guidance and expertise in program management, business development, and technology transfer.

Before their roles at Genie BioLogic, Pamela worked as the Director of Government Consulting at Latham BioPharm Group from 2017 to 2019, where they led a team in providing strategic consulting services for the life sciences industry. Pamela also held positions at Emergent BioSolutions as the Director of External Development from 2013 to 2017, where they established partnerships with governments and non-governmental organizations to fund the development of medical countermeasures. Additionally, they served as the Senior Manager of Business Development at Emergent BioSolutions from 2010 to 2013, where they identified acquisition and licensing targets aligned with corporate strategy.

Earlier in their career, Pamela worked at Battelle as a Program Manager and Market Manager in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology market from 2005 to 2010. Pamela was responsible for overseeing research and development programs, managing client relationships, and maintaining a network of contacts within the government and industry. Prior to Battelle, they held roles at Dynport Vaccine Company and BioPlan Associates, where they gained experience in project management and market research.

Pamela's career also includes consulting work at Biosearch, where they conducted business development and market research for biotechnology clients, and BioPlan Associates, where they contributed to workforce issue research. Throughout their career, Pamela has demonstrated a strong aptitude for leadership, strategy, and alliance management in the biotechnology sector.

Pamela Duchars holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in 2005. Pamela also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology from Dickinson College, which they earned from 1992 to 1996. Additionally, Pamela has obtained a Certification of Achievement in Alliance Management (CA-AM) from the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals.
