Xiaoqian Wang

Xiaoqian Wang serves as a Senior Staff Scientist and R&D Project Manager at Valvoline Global Operations, focusing on the development of innovative lubricants and heat transfer fluids for new energy vehicles, as well as managing testing programs and conducting fundamental research. Previously, Xiaoqian held the position of Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech, where notable work included the development of organometallic catalysts for sustainable polymers and characterization of their properties. In addition, Xiaoqian contributed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, guiding undergraduate students in laboratory equipment and experimental design. Earlier research experience at the University of Science and Technology of China involved designing flexible polymers and carbon materials for energy applications. Xiaoqian Wang holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech, a Master of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China, and a Bachelor of Science in Materials Chemistry from Chongqing University.
