Sebastian Ibarguen

Sebastian Ibarguen is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in building and managing software and infrastructure solutions. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Simera since July 2023, Sebastian also co-founded Core Code io and Vana, driving initiatives to support underbanked communities. At Cognits, Sebastian has co-founded and led teams in developing banking applications using Agile methodologies since 2014. Earlier roles include lecturing at Universidad Francisco Marroquín and working as a Partner and Sales Engineer at Myappsoftware, where expertise in AWS architecture was applied. Sebastian holds a BS in Economics from Universidad Francisco Marroquín and completed summer courses in Finance at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
