Ryan Vega MD, MSHA has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare industry. Ryan is currently serving as the Chief Health Officer at Vantiq and as the Physician in Residence at Digital Medicine Society (DiMe). In addition to their current roles, they also work as an Executive Advisor at Aegis Group.
Prior to joining Vantiq and DiMe, Dr. Vega held various positions at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Ryan served as the Chief Innovation Officer and Executive Director of the Office of Healthcare Innovation and Learning, where they led efforts to drive innovation and improve care. Ryan also served as the Executive Director of VHA Innovation Ecosystem, Chair of Quality, Safety, and Value EHRC, and Director of VA Diffusion of Excellence. Furthermore, they worked as the Chief Quality Officer of the organization.
Before their time at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Dr. Vega worked at The George Washington University Hospital as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine. Ryan also worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Georgetown University.
Early in their career, Dr. Vega held the role of Chief Resident in Quality and Safety at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as the role of Chief Medical Resident at VCU Health. Ryan also completed their residency in Internal Medicine at VCU Health.

Ryan Vega MD, MSHA completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. In 2015 to 2017, they pursued their Masters of Science in Health Administration (MSHA) from Virginia Commonwealth University, specializing in Health/Health Care Administration/Management. Additionally, in 2016, they completed an Advanced Training Program in Healthcare Delivery Improvement from Intermountain Healthcare Delivery Institute. The program focused on areas such as Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, Healthcare Operations, and Research.
