Dana Crawford KPA-CTP, CPDT-KA has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Dana is currently a Customer Success Manager at Venminder since November 2022. Prior to this, they were the Owner/Trainer at Paw Partner Dog Training starting from January 2020.
In 2016, Dana started their own business called Equine Impressions where they teach beginner horseback riding lessons and trains horses in groundwork, focusing on liberty work. Dana follows and incorporates the methods of trainers such as Clinton Anderson, Buck Branaman, and Parelli.
Dana also has experience in the mortgage industry, having worked at Primary Residential Mortgage. From April 2020 to November 2022, they served as an Assistant Manager Vendor Management. Previously, they held roles as a Marketing Compliance Team Lead and Marketing Compliance Specialist, where they reviewed mortgage programs and marketing materials for compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Additionally, Dana has been involved in the Golden Spike Dog Obedience Club since May 2019. Dana served as the Club President from June 2021 to June 2022 and as the Director of Training from May 2019 to June 2021.
Before their ventures in dog training and the mortgage industry, Dana worked as a Horse Riding Instructor at Premier Farm from April 2016 to February 2017. Dana began their career at Select Portfolio Servicing as a Contested Default Supervisor from May 2005 to July 2016.
Dana Crawford KPA-CTP, CPDT-KA has a diverse education history. Dana obtained their Certified Training Partner degree in Positive Reinforcement Dog Training from the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training & Behavior in 2021-2022. Prior to that, they received their Bachelor of Integrated Science from Weber State University, specializing in Computer Science, Nutrition, and Healthcare Management, from 2016-2018. In 1999, Dana completed their high school education at Roy High School, earning their diploma with a focus on Business and Managerial Economics. Additionally, they have pursued veterinary technology studies at Broadview College and obtained an Associates of Science in Business from Salt Lake Community College.
Dana holds several additional certifications and memberships. Dana became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, Inc. in October 2022. Dana also joined DOGGONE SAFE as a Dogone Safe Member in July 2022 and became a member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants in April 2022. Moreover, they acquired the Certified Training Partner designation from the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training & Behavior in March 2022. Dana has yet to obtain specific certifications such as AKC CGC Evaluator, AKC Fit Dog Instructor, Canine Good Citizen, and Novice Trick Dog Certification. Dana is also a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.
