Richard Vanderwood

Richard Vanderwood serves as the Technical Manager for Power Island at Venture Global LNG since January 2018, overseeing a 5x2 combined cycle power plant designed to support a Liquefied Natural Gas facility in Louisiana. Prior experience includes a role as Combined Cycle Systems Engineer at GE Power from March 2008 to October 2017, focusing on various components of combined cycle power plants, and as Steam Turbine Project Engineer, facilitating customer integration of steam turbines. Richard Vanderwood's earlier experience encompasses managing reactor coolant systems at KAPL and supporting specialized tooling development for nuclear power plants at Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. Richard Vanderwood holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University, completed in 2002 and 2000, respectively.
