Farzaneh Shoeleh

Farzaneh Shoeleh is a Senior Data Scientist at Verafin since June 2021, with extensive experience in cybersecurity and machine learning across various roles. Prior positions include Technical PI and Team Leader at the Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity, where responsibilities encompassed security in machine learning for IoT environments and project leadership for the Department of National Defence on hostile news detection. Farzaneh also served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of New Brunswick and held several roles at Iran Telecom Research Center, including Senior Project Leader in ICT Security. An educator with experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Tehran, Farzaneh has taught courses in Artificial Intelligence, Social Network Analysis, and more. Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Machine Intelligence and Robotics and an MBA from the University of Tehran, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Engineering from Shiraz University.
