Michael Winter

Michael Winter has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Michael began their career as a Design and Test Engineer at Dowty Aerospace in 1996. In 1998, they moved on to Astrium as a Propulsion Engineer. Following that, they worked as a Customer Service Engineer at Bruker UK Limited, specializing in L.C. mass spectrometry from 2000 to 2006.

From 2006 to 2010, Michael worked as an Operations Engineer at Wales & West Utilities, where they managed the natural gas distribution networks and led a project to reduce operator fatigue. Michael then returned to Bruker UK Limited as a Clinical Service Team Leader from 2010 to 2015, responsible for service, training, and connectivity for the MALDI Biotyper platform.

In 2015, Michael joined LGC as a Service and Support Engineer for ParaDNA, where they played a pivotal role in setting up the service and support functions within the business unit. Michael also provided technical training and support to distributors and contributed to instrument development.

In 2017, Michael transitioned to Infinitesima Limited as a Lead Support Engineer, leading the customer support function for the RPM instrument. Michael was responsible for installation, testing, and servicing of the instrument and trained service engineers for global support. From 2019 to 2021, they held the position of Technical Support Manager at Infinitesima, overseeing customer support and managing service tickets.

Currently, Michael Winter is employed at Verdel Instruments as a System Engineer. Michael has also taken on the role of Product Manager, where they focus on launching new Mass Spectrometry products and providing support to customers, helping them adopt this new technology and achieve complex data for molecules.

Michael Winter attended The University of Birmingham from 1992 to 1995, where they pursued a degree in Physics with Astrophysics. Their field of study during this time was science.
