Arthur Chen

Arthur Chen has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Arthur is currently the Co-founder and CEO of Verdi, a climate adaptation platform for agriculture that focuses on making farm infrastructure smart to help farmers adapt to climate change. Arthur has been with Verdi since March 2020 and has achieved notable recognition, including being part of the THRIVE 2022 and Alchemist Accelerator Class 27, as well as participating in the TechCrunch Startup Battlefield in 2021.

Prior to their role at Verdi, Arthur worked as a Project Lead in Precision Agriculture at a stealth company from January 2019 to January 2020. Arthur was responsible for leading projects related to precision agriculture.

Arthur also gained experience at Samsung Electronics, where they worked as a Programmer Writer from May 2018 to December 2018. Their role involved writing technical documentation for programming projects.

Furthermore, Arthur co-founded Changenuity in March 2016 and held the position until March 2018. During their time at Changenuity, they contributed to the company's overall growth and development.

Additionally, Arthur worked as a Research Engineer at TRIUMF from January 2017 to April 2017. In this role, they conducted research to support the organization's engineering initiatives.

Lastly, Arthur held multiple positions at the Greater Vancouver High School Science Association from February 2014 to August 2016. Arthur served as the Strategy Director from August 2015 to August 2016, Treasurer from August 2014 to August 2015, and VHSO Southern League Director from February 2014 to June 2015. These roles involved strategic planning, financial management, and overseeing the activities of the VHSO Southern League.

Arthur Chen attended The University of British Columbia from 2015 to 2020, where they studied Engineering Physics. In 2017, they also briefly attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed a program called New Ventures Leadership with a focus on the Beyond Food Cohort.
