Deniz Peksen

Deniz Peksen has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Deniz is currently working as the Head of Data Science at VeriPark since December 2020. Before that, they were the Analytics Business Manager in Daily Banking at ING Türkiye from October 2019 to December 2020, and the CRM and Customer Analytics Business Manager from October 2014 to October 2019. Prior to that, they worked as an Investment Products Management Specialist at HSBC from November 2012 to October 2014. Deniz also worked at ING Bank Turkey as a Product and Process Development Specialist from July 2010 to October 2012, and as an Assistant Specialist of Financial Reporting at Denizbank from January 2010 to July 2010. Their early career started at Demir Sağlık ve Hayat Sigorta, where they worked as a Treasury Assistant Specialist from August 2008 to January 2010.

Deniz Peksen has a diverse education history. In 2002, they graduated from Marmara University with a degree in Economics. Later, in 2009, they pursued an MBA from Istanbul University, completing it in 2011. In 2018, Deniz attended Özyeğin University, where they enrolled in a Data Science Certificate Program, which they completed in 2019. Deniz continued their education at Özyeğin University and obtained a Master's degree in Data Science from 2020 to 2022.

In addition to their academic degrees, Deniz has also obtained several certifications. Deniz completed the "Capital Markets Advanced Level" certification from Sermaye Piyasası Kurulu - SPK in February 2014. Deniz also pursued several online certifications, including "Introduction to Data Science in Python," "Python Data Analysis," "Python Data Representations," and "Python Programming Essentials" from Coursera in September and October 2018. Finally, in April 2022, Deniz achieved the "Azure Data Scientist Associate" certification from Microsoft, and in August 2021, they completed the "Guided Tour of Machine Learning in Finance" certification from Coursera.
