Doug van Spronsen

Doug van Spronsen is a seasoned entrepreneur and leader with a diverse background in digital transformation, philanthropy, and community service. As Co-Founder of Rescue Payments since April 2024, Doug also serves as Director on the Board of Directors for the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation, focusing on fundraising for child health initiatives. Previously, Doug held the position of CEO and Co-Founder at Versett, a digital transformation company acquired by CBTW in 2021. Additional leadership roles include Partner at Collaboration Betters The World, Director at True North Water, and Board Director at Connect First Credit Union, where Doug chaired the HR Committee. Doug's early career includes roles in digital strategy at DDB Canada and co-founding MakeGood.com, along with a tenure as Team Captain for Team Canada Volleyball. Doug is a graduate of the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, holding a Certified Credit Union Director (CCD) designation.
