Mark Richards

Mark Richards currently serves as Secretary of the Mining and Energy Union in Victoria, representing workers in the Victorian mining and energy sector. Additional roles include Vice President of the same union, President of the ALP Gippsland Federal Electorate Assembly, and Assistant Secretary of the Gippsland Trades & Labour Council. Mark has previously held positions such as State Joint Vice President of the CFMEU Victoria Branch, Assistant Secretary of the ALP Latrobe Valley Branch, and has campaigned as a Labor candidate for Morwell. Mark's earlier career includes roles as Lodge President of the CFMEU, a candidate for Latrobe City Council, and Executive Officer for a Member of the Victorian Parliament. Mark holds an Associate's Degree in Engineering with a focus on Power Plant Operations and has extensive experience in health and safety within the energy sector.
