Eija Kakko

Senior Advisor – Digital Health at VideoVisit

Eija Kakko has been working in the field of remote care since 2020, when they began their role as Senior Specialist at VideoVisit. Prior to this, they were a Student at the University of Eastern Finland from 2017 to 2020. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Project Manager at Päijät-Hämeen hyvinvointiyhtymä, PHHYKY, where they worked on a virtual hospital and a virtual support project for home carers. From 2017 to 2014, they worked as a Project Manager at the Päijät-Häme Joint Authority for Health and Wellbeing on an intelligent home project. Finally, from 2004 to 2014, they worked as a Project Manager, Palveluohjaaja, and Team Leader at the City of Lahti.

Eija Kakko began their educational journey in 1997 when they attended Lahden sosiaali-ja terveysalan oppilaitos and obtained a degree in Lähihoitaja. Eija then attended Diakonia ammattikorkeakoulu Lahti from 2000 to 2003, where they earned a degree in Sairaanhoitaja AMK. In 2012, they attended Koulutuskeskus Salpaus and obtained a degree in Johtamisen erikoisammattitutkinto (JET). Finally, from 2017 to 2020, they attended the University of Eastern Finland and earned a degree in Yhteiskuntatieteiden maisteri.
