Jon Decker

Jon Decker has over 10 years of work experience in various legal and policy-related roles. Jon is currently serving as the General Counsel at Viken Detection since January 2020. Prior to that, they worked as the VP, Associate General Counsel at CIRCOR International, Inc. from December 2017 to January 2020.

From 2015 to 2017, Jon worked as the Corporate Counsel at Analogic, where they represented multiple business units and handled a wide range of legal matters. Jon structured and negotiated significant business relationships and transactions, resolved disputes, and spearheaded cross-functional teams to improve information security.

Before joining Analogic, Jon served as the Director of Policy & Communications at The Tobin Project from January 2014 to August 2015. In this role, they oversaw executive management and managed relationships with funders, policymakers, and the media.

Prior to that, Jon worked as an Associate at Ropes & Gray LLP from September 2007 to January 2014, where they advised corporate and private equity clients in various industries. Jon specialized in transactional law, leading or assisting teams in mergers and acquisitions and analyzing and negotiating contracts.

Jon started their career as a Research Associate at Harvard Business School from September 2003 to September 2004.

Jon Decker completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies from Harvard University in the years 1999 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Harvard Law School from 2004 to 2007. Additionally, Jon earned a Mini-MBA for In-House Counsel from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University.
