Gunar Ortiz

Gunar Ortiz has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. Gunar started their career as a UX Engineer Intern at New Vision Data in 2017, where they gained experience in screen flow creation, usability optimization, and implementing designs into functional concept prototypes.

In 2018, Gunar joined Cetus Group SRL as a Freelance Mobile Developer before transitioning to New Vision Data as a Mobile Developer and later as a Frontend Web Developer. During their time at New Vision Data, they worked on UI frameworks, integrated frontend with backend, and utilized technologies like React and Jira for project planning.

Gunar also co-founded a startup called Parkin in 2018, where they served as a Technical Lead and later as a Mobile Developer. At Parkin, they were responsible for designing the architectural framework, integrating with external APIs and hardware, and leveraging technologies like Google Cloud and Node.

From 2021 to 2022, Gunar worked at BCP Banco de Crédito de Bolivia S.A. as a Mobile Application Developer, leading the development of an important wallet app. Gunar successfully provided support for older versions of Android and iOS and expanded the application to 2 million devices.

Most recently, Gunar joined Vinnove in 2022 as a Full Stack Developer. In this role, they managed mission-critical systems, oversaw teams, and actively contributed to both frontend and backend development using technologies like AWS and Node.

Gunar Ortiz completed their education history with a focus on Informática (Computer Science). Gunar attended Universidad Mayor de San Andrés from 2015 to 2021, earning a Pregrado degree. In 2022, they pursued further education at SEDA College, where they studied English Language. Gunar also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills. In 2019, they completed an Online Web Development Course at Platzi, and in 2017, they completed a Basic Programming Course at the same institution. Gunar further expanded their knowledge in 2016 by attending an Android Development program offered by GDG Android Bolivia. Additionally, in 2022, they obtained a certification in DevOps with Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, git, GitFlow CI and CD from Udemy, and in 2022, they acquired a certification in MongoDB - MongoDB Atlas - MongoDB Compass, also from Udemy.
