Cindy Madison

Cindy Madison has over 30 years of work experience in finance and accounting. Cindy currently works for The Port of Virginia as the Director of Financial Compliance, overseeing financial analysis and reporting, administration of financial systems, and supervision of finance staff. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Financial Reporting for the same company. Before joining The Port of Virginia, Cindy worked at Virginia International Terminals, Inc. as a Financial Systems Analyst and Assistant Accounting Division Supervisor. Cindy was responsible for implementing financial applications, preparing ad-hoc reports, providing end-user support and training, and budgeting and forecasting. In the earlier years of their career, Cindy was a Property Management Accountant at Hudgins Construction Company, where they prepared financial information, worked with commercial leases, and supervised the finance department.

Cindy Madison attended Kecoughtan High School from 1978 to 1979. Cindy did not obtain any degree or pursue a specific field of study during this time. Subsequently, they went on to study at Christopher Newport University from 1979 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting.
