Peng Zhao

Peng Zhao is a seasoned geophysicist with extensive experience in research and project management, currently serving as a Senior Researcher at CGG since March 2013, with prior roles as Project Researcher and Research Geophysicist. At NORSAR from October 2010 to March 2013, Peng contributed to significant projects such as imaging microseismic sources, programming migration-based location codes, and enhancing microearthquake monitoring software. Earlier, during a summer internship at Schlumberger, Peng applied control volume and finite difference methods to assess thermal stresses in gas shale. Peng holds a Ph.D. in Geophysics and Seismology from Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS in the same field from Peking University.
