Qian Xu

Qian (Ava) Xu is a Bioinformatics Engineer at Vitra Labs, having joined in November 2023. Prior experience includes a brief stint at McKinsey & Company in April 2023, where Qian gained insights into the consulting industry. Qian's work at Johnson & Johnson from August 2022 to March 2023 involved collaborating with cross-functional teams on data analysis strategies and interpreting multi-modal high-dimensional data. Additionally, Qian interned at Bristol Myers Squibb in mid-2022, focusing on data analysis for brain cancer therapeutics and spatial transcriptome datasets. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Bioinformatics from Texas A&M University, along with a Master’s in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Science and Technology of China and a Bachelor's in Bio-Pharmaceutical Technology from China Pharmaceutical University.
