Larry Abele

Larry Abele is an accomplished Design Manager currently at Volvo Cars, leading initiatives at the Volvo Monitoring & Concept Center in Camarillo, CA, since March 2006. Abele previously held the same role at Ford Motor Company from 1994 to 2006, working at various locations including the Concept Center in Valencia, CA, the Dunton Technical Centre in the UK, and the Brand Imaging Group in Irvine, CA. Abele also served as a Design Instructor at the Art Center College of Design, teaching courses in Transportation Design and digital modeling from January 1994 to August 1999. Early career experience includes serving as a Senior Designer at Isuzu Motors America from 1987 to 1993, focusing on exterior and interior design. Abele holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Transportation Design from the ArtCenter College of Design and pursued additional studies at California State University, Long Beach.
