Jacob Marks has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2015. In that year, they began as a Software Engineer Intern at Reservoir Labs. Jacob then held a Student Researcher position at the Yale Quantum Institute in 2016 and an Undergraduate Research Assistant position at the Institute for Quantum Computing in 2016. In 2017, they were a Research Fellow and Algorithms R&D Intern at Wolfram, as well as an Imaging Engineer at JointPoint. In 2019, they were a Ph.D. Resident at X, the moonshot factory. In 2020, they were an Algorithms Researcher on the Think Tank Team at Samsung Research America (SRA). In 2021, they were a Student Contributor at Physics World and Co-Founder and CEO at Synphonic. Jacob is currently a Machine Learning Engineer and Developer Evangelist at Voxel51.

Jacob Marks attended Hopkins School from 2009 to 2013 and graduated with a High School degree. Jacob then attended Yale University from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree with Distinction in Intensive Physics, Math and Philosophy. Jacob is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Physics at Stanford University and is expected to graduate in 2022.
