Lauren Cross

Lauren Cross has extensive experience in media relations, communications, and advocacy, currently serving as Senior Media Advisor for Plaintiff Relations and Media Consultant at the Center for Reproductive Rights since July 2023. Cross has been an improv teacher at the Washington Improv Theater since January 2018, where instructional activities include teaching comedy classes and coaching teams. Past roles include Deputy Director for Communications at Media Matters for America, Principal Strategist for U.S. Communications and Media Relations at the Guttmacher Institute, and Federal Advocacy Press Officer at Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Cross has developed proactive media strategies, managed significant media inquiries, and enhanced communication efforts within various organizations. Educationally, Cross holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder, obtained in 2014.
