Ron Y. has a diverse professional background in engineering, broadcasting, and music. Currently serving as Supervisor of Broadcast Server Technology and Maintenance Engineer at WDIV-TV since January 2000, Ron has extensive experience in the media industry. Prior to this role, Ron worked at Communications Systems Group as a Sales Support Engineer and Operations Manager from March 1993 to January 2000, and at Enticed Information Technologies as a Technical Field Sales Engineer from June 1991 to March 1993. Early career positions included Telemarketing Manager and Outside Sales Account Executive at IDS between November 1988 and June 1991, and a notable tenure as Lead Vocalist and Multi-Keyboardist with the music group "Nite Life" from June 1984 to August 1988. Ron began their career as an Engineering Quality Assurance & Testing Engineer at Sarns/3M Medical from May 1977 to June 1984, where responsibilities included quality control and developing testing protocols for medical devices.
