Laura Chico

Laura Chico has extensive experience in the financial industry, particularly in sell-side equity research with a focus on healthcare and biotech. Laura has worked as a Senior Vice President at Wedbush Securities since April 2019. Prior to that, they held positions at Raymond James Financial, Inc. as Vice President Equity Research from June 2015 to March 2019, and at Robert W. Baird & Co. as a Senior Research Associate from August 2010 to June 2015.

In addition to their finance roles, Laura has academic experience as an Adjunct Faculty member at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine from May 2009 to June 2021. Laura also pursued their education at Northwestern University, where they obtained their PhD and worked as a Doctoral Candidate in Drug Discovery from September 2003 to April 2009. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Technologist at Northwestern University from 2002 to 2003.

Laura also has experience in the scientific research field, having worked as a Bioinformatics Associate Scientist at Third Wave Technologies from 2001 to 2002, and as a Production Scientist at Novagen, Inc. from 1999 to 2000.

Laura Chico completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Bacteriology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1995 to 1999. Laura then pursued further education at Northwestern University, earning a Master of Science degree in Computational Biology & Bioinformatics from 2004 to 2006. Laura continued their studies at Northwestern University and obtained a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from 2003 to 2009.
