Diego Fonseca Antunes

Diego Fonseca Antunes is a seasoned professional in product engineering, currently serving as the Product Engineering Supervisor at WEG Commercial Motors since August 2013. With a strong background in new product development, product standardization, and cost reduction projects, Diego leads a team of 10 engineers and drafters. Previously, Diego held roles as a Product Development Engineer and Project Analyst, notably contributing to the development of innovative electric motor technologies and the first ECM motor line for mass production, collaborating internationally with teams from Brazil and China. Diego's foundation in mechanical engineering was established at Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, complemented by a postgraduate degree in Business Management from Católica de Santa Catarina. Additionally, Diego's leadership skills were showcased as Team Leader for Baja SAE at BOMBAJA UFSM, focusing on project management and industry partnerships.
