Orlando Jose da Silva Junior is an experienced software engineering professional with a strong background in developing and managing complex software systems. Currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Wellhub since June 2017, Orlando has been instrumental in shaping the architecture and overseeing the migration to a new scalable infrastructure. Previously, at UnitedHealth Group, Orlando held positions as Tech Lead and Senior Software Engineer, focusing on architecture, API design, and code quality. Orlando also contributed to academic projects at FUNDEG - UNIFEG and personal projects, including the development of an eCommerce platform. Orlando's technical expertise encompasses a wide range of technologies, including Scala, Java, JavaScript, and various database systems. Orlando holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a specialization in Information Technologies and Communication.
