Louise Zhang

Louise Zhang is a highly experienced engineering professional specializing in automotive safety and autonomous vehicle (AV) technology. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at WeRide since January 2025, Louise's responsibilities include AV development and validation. Additionally, as an Advisory Board Member for Pebble, Louise provides strategic insights to management. Previously, Louise held significant roles at Cruise, Lucid Motors, and Tesla Motors, with achievements in defining safety requirements, leading large engineering teams, and achieving five-star safety ratings for electric vehicles. Louise also has a rich background in safety systems engineering from Delphi and has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering along with an MBA candidate distinction from the University of Michigan.
