Thomas Wurtz

Thomas Wurtz is an accomplished leader in faith-based athletic initiatives, currently serving as the Founder of the Center for Faith and Athletics since February 2024, where consulting and coaching are provided to deepen the mission in sports. With extensive experience at FOCUS Catholic since August 2007, Thomas holds the role of Sr. Director of Affinity Outreach and has founded and directs Varsity Catholic, which addresses the spiritual needs of student-athletes on university campuses. Additionally, Thomas co-hosts the Man Catholic Podcast, authors books, and has previously served as Men's Formation Coordinator and Team Director at Illinois State University and Seton Hall University. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Catechetics and Evangelization from Augustine Institute and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Benedictine College.
