Rick Trilsch has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations. Rick began their career as an Assistant Canvass Director at the Fund for the Public Interest in 1989. Rick then worked as the Administrative Director at the Florida PIRG, where they supervised financial and operational management. In 1996, they joined U.S. PIRG as the Administrative Director, overseeing significant organizational growth. Rick also served as the Administrative Director at Environment America from 2007 to 2012. Subsequently, they became the Director of Finance and Administration at the Center for Effective Government, where they managed financial, human resources, and technology functions. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Finance and Administration at Western Resource Advocates, leading policy experts, scientists, economists, and attorneys to combat climate change and sustain the environment, economy, and people of the West.

Rick Trilsch attended the University of Florida from 1983 to 1984, where they pursued Liberal Arts without completing a degree. Rick then transferred to the University of South Florida, where they studied History and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from 1984 to 1987.
