Jonathan Chastek

Jonathan Chastek has a diverse work experience in the transportation and defense sectors. Jonathan began their career with the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway Company in 2004 and has since held various roles including President, Executive Vice President, AVP - Business Development, Manager of Economic and Industrial Development, Assistant Trainmaster, and Assistant Roadmaster. In 2004, they also joined the US Navy as a Strategic Sealift Officer, Lieutenant Commander, specializing in sealift operations, maritime operations, and logistics. Jonathan Chastek's work experience spans over 15 years in leadership, business development, and operational roles.

Jonathan Chastek began their education at Catholic High School for Boys, where they completed their secondary education from 1996 to 2000. Jonathan then attended the United States Merchant Marine Academy from 2000 to 2004, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics and Intermodal Transportation with a focus on Transportation. During their time at the academy, they also obtained several certifications, including Certified Transportation Logistician from APICS, Certified Radio Operator from the Federal Communications Commission, and Licensed Third Mate Ships Officer from the U.S. Coast Guard.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Jonathan pursued further education at Ashland University from 2018 to 2019. Here, they obtained a Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Supply Chain Management.

Additionally, Jonathan holds several certifications related to their field, including Certified Locomotive Engineer and Certified Railroad Conductor, both obtained from the Federal Railroad Administration. Jonathan also obtained the certification of Emergency Medical Technician from the Medical Society of the State of New York in 2003.
