Kikuko Iwama

Kikuko Iwama is currently the SVP, Head of Product and Service Planning at WHILL since July 2023. Before that, they served as the VP, Head of Mobility Service Planning at WHILL from April 2022 to June 2023. Kikuko also has experience as a Start-up Advisor/investor since April 2022. Prior to joining WHILL, they worked as a Director and then Principal at Global Brain Corporation from September 2019 to March 2022. Before that, they held various roles at Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi, including Senior Manager, Manager, and Head of Global Service Design Japan from October 2016 to September 2019. Kikuko also worked as a Senior Strategist at Merck from January 2014 to July 2015 and as a Senior Field Engineer at Schlumberger from September 2008 to May 2012.

Kikuko Iwama has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from INSEAD, obtained between 2012 and 2013. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) at Yokohama National University from 2006 to 2008, specializing in Aircraft Collision Avoidance Control Algorithm under uncertainty of information. Their undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.), was also earned at Yokohama National University from 2002 to 2006, focusing on Hydrodynamics design for large-sized ship and aircraft.
