Dmitry Tavyev-Matsnyev has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Dmitry began their career as a Web Developer with Dynatech in 2011. From there, they worked as a Team Lead at SIA Worldwide Communications and later as a Senior Software Engineer at Roamer and Latvian Information Agency LETA.
In 2014, Dmitry took on the role of Cloud Lead at Apply - Intelligent Technologies, where they planned and executed the setup of a cloud PaaS and successfully migrated the company's biggest product to it. Dmitry also established a culture of DevOps within the organization.
From 2015 to 2016, Dmitry worked as the Web Development Lead at Apply - Intelligent Technologies, where they led PHP and web front-end departments. Dmitry managed multiple projects simultaneously and was responsible for tasks such as writing user stories, performing code reviews, and mentoring developers.
In 2017, Dmitry joined Neueda as the DevOps Lead, where they focused on enabling CI and CD across projects and advised teams on Kubernetes usage. Dmitry also developed an open-source project called SlackCity for integrating TeamCity with Slack.
Following their time at Neueda, Dmitry took on the role of Head Of Engineering, SRE at Bilderlings, where they played a key role in building and scaling the engineering department. Together with their peers, they made Bilderlings one of the most desirable software engineering employers in Latvia.
In 2019, Dmitry joined C.T.Co as a Senior Solution Architect, where they pioneered Infrastructure as Code for a global reinsurance enterprise. Dmitry also led collaboration with Alibaba Cloud on their Terraform provider.
In 2021, Dmitry joined Ubiquiti Inc. as a Site Reliability Engineering Manager, where they led the SRE team and worked on various tech strategies and incident responses.
Currently, Dmitry is working at Winfinity as the Head of Video, where they manage everything related to live streaming, leads a team of talented professionals, and applies their DevOps experience to improve processes in a conservative industry.
Throughout their career, Dmitry has demonstrated expertise in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD workflows, DevOps, and team leadership.
From 2010 to 2013, Dmitry Tavyev-Matsnyev attended Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University), where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Science. However, it is important to note that they did not complete the degree during this period.
