Malaika Caldwell

Malaïka joined WITNESS’ External Relations team as the Grants & Contracts Associate. Coordinating and streamlining the funding process to translate to meaningful impact on the ground, she works across the External Relations, Finance, and Program Teams to support the lifecycle of institutional grants.

Before joining WITNESS Malaïka worked with local nonprofits centered around creative strategies and artful activism to manifest a world where life, community, nature, and obligations to future generations are honored. She endeavors to carry these values with her throughout her career along with her passion for storytelling and creative action.

Malaïka holds a MSc in Sociology with a focus on migration, race, and ethnicity from the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
