Ritu Sadana

Dr. Ritu Sadana has extensive experience in global health and policy, currently serving as the Head of the WHO Secretariat supporting the WHO Council on the Economics of Health for All since 1998. Throughout the career at the World Health Organization, Dr. Sadana has led significant initiatives, including the development of the WHO’s Baseline Report for the Decade of Healthy Ageing, the first Global Strategy and Action Plan on Ageing and Health, and the European Health Report 2012. Previous roles include Coordinator of the Equity Analysis and Evidence unit and Senior Policy Analyst, contributing to the establishment of the WHO Commission on Social Determinants of Health. Dr. Sadana began the professional journey in management consulting and has advanced education credentials, including a Doctor of Science in International Health Policy from Harvard University.
