Dr Agoustou Gomis

Dr. Agoustou Gomis has extensive work experience in the field of health and nutrition, with a focus on project management and coordination. Dr Agoustou has worked for World Vision in various roles, including Chief of Party (CoP) for the Global Fund TB/AIDS program and Eu Résilience Program in WV Burundi. Dr Agoustou has also served as the EVD Project Coordinator in North Kivu and as a Health and Nutrition Specialist. Dr. Gomis has experience in coordinating and managing responses to health emergencies, such as the CAT2 Ebola Response in North Kivu. Prior to their work at World Vision, they held positions as the National Health and Nutrition Coordinator in Senegal and as the Director of PRONAED and the Center Mèdico-Social Barthimee at Fraternité Evangique du Senegal.

Dr Agoustou Gomis has a diverse education history. In 1977, they obtained their Baccalauréat from Lycee Malick Sy Thies, where they pursued Études générales. Dr Agoustou then went on to study at UCAD Senegal from 1986 to 1994, where they earned a Doctorat d'Etat en Chirurgie Dentaire, focusing on Sciences cliniques médicales/études médicales supérieures. In 1998 and 1999, Dr Gomis pursued a Bachelor's degree in Management Intégré des Programmes/Projets at ESIM/Thies. In 2014, they received Level 1 training in Relations publiques et gestion de l'image from the Partnership brokers Association.
