Stephen Parker has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and a wide range of roles. Stephen currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Worldline since August 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Managing Director - Bambora at the same company starting from May 2022. Stephen also served as the Chief Information Officer at Worldline from March 2020 to December 2021.
Before joining Worldline, Stephen worked at Mastercard as the Vice President, Loyalty Technology and Operations, Asia Pacific, from June 2017 to May 2019.
Prior to Mastercard, they worked at Sydney Water, where they held the positions of Head of Digital and Mobile Solutions from May 2016 to May 2017, and Manager, Applications Portfolio from October 2013 to May 2016.
Stephen also gained valuable experience at Symantec, where they worked as the Director of Engineering from June 2011 to July 2013, and at E*TRADE Australia as the Head of Retail from November 2008 to July 2010, Head of Development from October 2007 to November 2008, and Senior Architect in July 2007.
Additionally, Stephen has worked at ClearCost Consulting as the Head of Development, where they developed and supported an integrated IT cost allocation system. Stephen also worked at Macquarie Bank as an Associate Director, overseeing tactical development across all divisions of the Bank and managing systems for the Bank's IT division.
Throughout their career, Stephen has demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and strong technical skills in various industries including finance, technology, and utilities.
Stephen Parker has a diverse education history. In 1990, they obtained a Diploma of Marketing/Diploma of Business Studies from the Marketing Confederation of Australia. From 1998 to 2001, they pursued a Master of Business and Technology at UNSW. In the same period, they also earned a Diploma of Financial Markets from the Securities Institute of Australia, with a focus on equities and banking. From 2001 to 2008, Stephen attended Swinburne University of Technology, where they completed a Master of Science in Astrophysics. In 2021, they enrolled in the Australian Institute of Company Directors to study Foundations of Directorship. Finally, in 2022 and 2023, Stephen pursued a Graduate Diploma of Economics at the University of New England (AU).
