The Legal Administrative Assistant is an integral part of the administrative team, providing critical in-office support for multiple attorneys and legal teams. Responsibilities vary from day to day, with an emphasis placed on printing, organizing, packaging, and sending case filings and other correspondence to applicable government entities and/or clients.
This is a part-time, in-person position headquartered at WR's Santa Monica office, with an expected 20 - 30 hours worked each week. Preferred work hours for this role are Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (at a minimum), but may be negotiable for qualified candidates.
Legal Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:
Supporting administrative and legal team members to maintain steady workflow for file production, including printing, copying, and scanning documents
Cross-training and covering for other members of the administrative team when needed
Providing support to Office Administrator with opening, sorting, scanning, and distributing mail received daily
Preparing and sending FedEx, courier, and mail shipments
Assisting with specific projects, such as archiving, on an as-needed basis
Working on additional administrative and billing projects as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record or equivalent experience
Customer service experience preferred, not required
Strong writing skills, with an emphasis on email correspondence in a professional setting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Discretion and ability to work independently
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to respond to email requests quickly and effectively
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Work, Excel, and PowerPoint
