Kurtis Broda

Kurtis Broda is an experienced professional with a strong background in engineering and leadership. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Wyvern, a company specializing in hyperspectral imagery from satellite platforms, Kurtis has a robust history in both technical and organizational roles. Previously, Kurtis held the position of President of the Alberta Whitewater Association, overseeing governance and activities related to whitewater paddling in Alberta. Experience as a Systems Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada involved designing software architecture and collaborating with the British Ministry of Defense. As a Research Assistant at the University of Alberta, Kurtis developed innovative measurement techniques for carbon particles, resulting in commercialization and published research. Kurtis's academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta, further education at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, and ongoing doctoral studies at Imperial College London.
