Sophia Kaied

Sophia Kaied is a GIS Specialist at Wyyerd Fiber since March 2023, with prior experience as a Map Production Specialist at TuSimple from April 2021 to February 2023. Sophia's background includes a Management Intern role in GIS at the City of San Diego, where research focused on editing water infrastructure using ArcMap 10.5, and a GIS Intern position at the City of El Cajon, where geographic data editing and analysis of city easements were performed. An undergraduate researcher in the Geography Department at San Diego State University, Sophia investigated nutrient hotspots in the Santa Margarita watershed. Sophia holds a degree in Geography with a focus on Methods of Geographic Analysis from San Diego State University, completed in 2020. Additional experience includes working as a Barista at Starbucks, demonstrating strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
