Senior Quantum Software Developer at Xanadu

Romain Moyard has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Romain started their career as a Project Engineer at Losinger Marazzi SA, where they were responsible for special insulation for a complex building project. Following this, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Université de Fribourg, providing support in educational activities. Romain then joined Huawei Technologies Switzerland AG as a Quantum Software Engineer, contributing their expertise in quantum software development. Currently, they are employed at Xanadu as a Quantum Software Developer, working on the development of PennyLane, a Python library for quantum computer programming.

Romain Moyard began their education in 2011 at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Romain completed this program in 2015. In 2013, Romain participated in the Erasmus Programme at the Technical University of Munich, where they focused on Civil Engineering. Moving forward, from 2015 to 2018, they attended Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physique. Finally, from 2018 to 2020, Romain attended ETH Zürich for their Master of Science degree, majoring in Physics.
