Tom Conboy

Tom Conboy currently serves as the Site Vice President at Prairie Island Nuclear Power Plant with Xcel Energy, overseeing operations and strategic management since July 2023. Previously, Tom was the President of GEMCON, where effective leadership principles were emphasized from December 2021 onward. Prior roles include Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Safety Assurance at Nawah Energy Company and Vice President of Monticello Nuclear Plant with Xcel Energy, responsible for operational performance from June 2015 to February 2022. Tom’s extensive experience spans various managerial positions at Florida Power & Light Company, NextEra Energy Resources, TVA, and Exelon Nuclear, beginning with service as a Senior Reactor Operator. Tom holds a BS and MBA in Engineering and Business from Northern Illinois University.
