Claude Visagie

Claude Visagie is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in medical device design and development. Currently serving as Principal Design Engineer at Xeltis since May 2024, Claude previously founded Delfino Design (Pty) Ltd, specializing in medical device consulting and simulated-use rig design. Claude held key roles at Strait Access Technologies, first as Lead Engineer managing delivery device projects and later as an engineering consultant. Prior experience includes positions at Zutari and Aurecon, where leadership of multidisciplinary teams and advanced mechanical system designs for water treatment projects were notable achievements. Claude's career began as a Research and Development Engineer at GeoAxon, where innovations in automated diagnosis of heart pathologies were developed. Claude holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stellenbosch University.
