Joe D'Apollonio

Joe D'Apollonio is a Senior Director of Continuous Improvement and Lean Operations at Xometry. Joe has over twenty years of experience in developing and leading lean transformation programs within large organizations. Joe's previous positions include Global Operational Excellence Director at Ingersoll Rand and Sr Director Operational Excellence & PMO at Philips. Joe has been responsible for developing and leading the lean strategy for Global Business Service Hubs to meet their financial commitments and performance improvements. Joe has also coached the execution and sustainability of business process owner strategies globally. Their teams have developed six 12-month transformation plans that have delivered $30M in cost benefits as well as improved Customer Delivery by 25%. Joe's work has earned him a President's award for 50% reduction in Pricing and Credit holds as well as a 50% reduction in hold resolution cycle time which improved on time shipments by six percentage points.

Joe D'Apollonio's educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, a Masters of Science in Management from the Florida Institute of Technology, and certifications from A.P. Moller - Maersk in Lean Black Belt, Ingersoll Rand in Lean Master Trainer, Philips in Lean Practitioner, GE Appliances, a Haier company in Six Sigma Black Belt.
